To the church-
Grace and peace be unto you.
I always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in my prayers.
I continually remember before my God and Father your work produced by faith,
your labor prompted by love,
and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
I know that he has chosen you,
because the gospel came to you not simply with words,
but also with power,
with the Holy Spirit,
and with deep conviction.
Your faith in God has become known everywhere.
Do not put out the Spirit's fire.
May God himself-the God of peace,
sanctify you through and through.
The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
May our Lord Jesus Christ encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
